Secondary Teacher of the Month - September

October 06, 2009

We are blessed to have Cindy Dyes teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the high school. She certainly exhibits the qualities of a CPISD teacher! Her nomination read as follows:

Caring
– Cindy is tireless in her work – multiple preps for too many classes. Her room is always full of students. She helps them during her breaks, conference, and often during her lunch. She stays long hours after school tutoring, planning, and grading….and that’s just school. She also sponsors the NHS and really puts in overtime coaching UIL.

Passionate
– She loves her content and plans great projects and labs to engage her students.

Inspiring – She inspires me because she does all of this with having a very active family.

Self-less – She is always willing to help. If you need help, she almost never says no. If she has to say no, she feels badly about it!

Dedication
– Cindy is dedicated to her profession, her students, and her family. Somehow she finds the time to make sure no one feels as if they aren’t getting 100% of her attention. She is an amazing educator!

Congratulations to Mrs. Dyes for being chosen as Center Point Secondary Teacher of the Month.
