Elementary Teacher of the Month - March

April 12, 2010

Our Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Pam Williams.

Caring

Instead of getting frustrated with her students, she thinks of different ways to get through to them so they can succeed.

Passion

Mrs. Williams is a hands-on teacher.  She is able to bring laughter and joy into the lives of all her students while expecting them to reach their individual goals.  She wants all of her students to succeed to the best of their ability.  She tries new approaches, training seminars, and is getting her master’s degree.  Her ability to understand each of her student’s needs and learning styles is truly admirable.

Inspiring

Mrs. Williams is not afraid to do what is right or best for the students.  She is working toward her Master’s degree in Special Education with an educational diagnostician’s certificate.  She has been taking online courses full-time for the past two years and has a 4.0 grade point average.  In May, she will graduate with the highest honors from Texas Tech University.

Self-Less

She often brings extra clothes, “Good job” rewards, and is willing to help any struggling student.  She is an advocate for kids.  She spends countless hours on lesson plans and preparation in hopes of benefiting at least one student.  She sees the importance of individualizing instruction.  She also has incredible decision-making skills.

Dedication

Pam is very dedicated to serving our students and staff.  She gives suggestions when asked and finds needed information in a timely manner.  She handles all the state required paperwork while still making time to teach.  She has assumed the responsibility of monitoring all RTI students on campus.  She attends many ARD and RTI meetings throughout the year.  In addition she is on the Grade Placement Committee, the Title I Committee, At-Risk Committee, the Campus Safety Committee, and the Site-Base Committee.  Pam Williams know that being a good role model is exactly what her students need to see.  She is here on time and ready to help everyday.
