On Friday, April 23, 2010, nine CPHS students competed at the UIL academic regional competition in Brenham, Texas. Cassy C. earned 8th place in Headline Writing, Sloan F. earned 9th place in Science and Amanda W. earned 12th place in Calculator. Congratulations to these students.
Alyssa B. won 1st place in the Feature Writing competition which advances her to the state meet in Austin on May 6. This will be Alyssa's second appearance at the state meet. In 2007 she won 2nd place in Feature Writing at the state competition.
Congratulations to Alyssa on her academic accomplishments!
