Happy New Year!

Update on: H1N1 and Vaccines
If you or your children have not had your H1N1 vaccines, please know that the Texas Department of State Health Services has vaccine available in their Kerrville office. There is no charge for H1N1 so call them at 896-5515 to make an appointment to go in for the vaccine. It is not too late to vaccinate you or your children. IF you have questions of me, please call my office.
The Texas Department of State Health Services in Kerrville has a few doses of Seasonal Flu Vaccine available. The fee is $10.00 for a vaccine and once again, please call them for an appointment if you are interested in receiving that vaccine or to have your student vaccinated. It is not too late to receive the vaccine.
I am preparing our school for the Vaccines for Children Program. If you haven’t noticed, CPISD is not having immunization clinics in my office hosted by the Texas Department of State Health Services this school year. If you receive a letter from me reminding you that your student(s) needs an update on a vaccine(s), please make an appointment with the Texas Department of State Health Services or your personal physician to have your student receive the required immunization(s). I will need to have a copy of all updated immunizations for school records in my office.
I will keep you informed through this website and a letter home as to when the Vaccines for Children Program is in place in my office. The Vaccines for Children Program is provided through the Texas Department of State Health Services. I will give students vaccines in my office for a fee with parental permission to keep students up to date with required vaccines. You will also have the option of taking your child to their physician for those updates as well, but again, I need a copy of all updates in my office for student records. If you want more information or have questions, once again, please call me, 830-634-6127.
