Financial aid is available to help you go to college, but you have to apply for it!
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student aid (FAFSA) is the first step to obtaining financial aid.
This free program will give you all the information you need to file the form and get you on your way.
Helpful Hints for FAFSA Workshop
- FAFSA Website: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
- The FAFSA is used by colleges and states to set grant and loan amounts
- Bring the following items: student and parent Social Security numbers, TDL, 2009 Income Tax Returns, bank statements, and investment records
- Signatures are required by both the student and parent, if you have not applied for a PIN have that completed and bring it with you. You can apply for your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov and select Apply For a PIN
- Bring paper, pen, file folder or manila envelope to keep all documents and notes for future reference
