On Monday, January 4, 2010, the Center Point ISD Employee Wellness Program,  “Wellness is the Weigh” was inititiated with a Kick Off get together with CPISD Employees in the Cafeteria.  Tasteful T-shirts are on sale to the Public to wear while you are working out, so please contact Deb Hicks or Connie Engel to buy a shirt!!

Employees are a part of a team challenge as well as individual Fitness and LoneStart Challenges.  Employees document all exercise weekly on a form that is turned in by 10:00 a.m. every Monday morning to Connie Engel.  Points are tallied and winners for the week are announced each Tuesday.  Employees have the Fitness Room here at Center Point ISD available for exercise; however, employees that have memberships to other centers can also turn in their records each week for the challenge.

The LoneStart program is a Wellness initiative that JoAnn Hagemeier, RD with Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville is partnering with CPISD for employees for the Challenge.  The fee is $50.00 and all participants set goals and meet with JoAnn for individual goal setting.  The challenges will continue through April.  All employees are eligible to participate.  Four grand prizes will be waiting to be given away to the top male and top female winners in each portion of the challenges.  The winning team will also be presented with a prize for their efforts.  Go teams!!!  Have fun.
