The Elementary Teacher of the Month for November is Anna Chapa. Anna is a 5th grade teacher.
Caring – She cares a great deal about her 5th grade students. She wants to teach them everything they need to know, especially when it comes to TAKS time. She is always red with anticipation of finding out how her kids are doing. Anna is always willing to go the extra mile for her students, fellow teachers, and the community. She never seems to get angry. She is very active in the school and the community. Anna is very caring teacher, always trying to do the best for the students like adding strategies to challenge them. She is always willing to do anything she can do to help students and staff.
Passion – Anna is willing to try different teaching techniques, curriculum, etc. She tutors and supports all of her students. She never gives up and is very patient and respectful of her students. You can tell she enjoys coming to work everyday. She’s always excited about teaching and being with the kids. She strives to find new and more effective ways to reach her students. Anna is always looking for better methods of teaching. She gets excited about workshops and utilized the material leaned. She is great with technology and get the students excited about learning.
Inspiring – Anna inspires her students to want to learn by making it fun and relevant and by motivating them to achieve things they never thought possible. She has taught me that it doesn’t matter what grade level you teach, what curriculum you use, or how long you’ve taught – you can always improve and be different. Anna Chapa makes me strive to be a better teacher! One of her best qualities is her patience. It impresses me how she constantly wants to better herself.
Self-less – She tutors in the morning. She helps them at recess and treats them fairly. She takes the extra time to help at concession stands and school events. Anna gives so much of herself to her students and their education. If a teacher needs help, she will provide that assistance even when she is busy. Anna always offers to help out or lets others borrow things. She always goes to athletic events – not just to support her kids but also others. In addition, she helps with 4H and Pirate Athletic Boosters. Anna Chapa ‘ROCKS” in science.
Dedication – She always shows up to school on time – even when she has a migraine! She dresses professionally and is active in a=campus activities. She is creative and honest. I think her values and morals and I am glad she has a positive influence on our students. You can tell that she enjoys coming to work everyday. She goes the extra mile and pushes her students everyday in a positive way. She wants them prepared not only for 6th grade, but for life.
