At the start of this school year, Center Point ISD implemented a quality curriculum program called CSCOPE. Your students may have mentioned CSCOPE and you may have been curious about the curriculum. CSCOPE is a comprehensive, standards-based, curriculum management system built on the most current research-based practices in the field. It is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and promotes student achievement. CSCOPE lessons are all aligned with the TEKS and state assessment test TAKS. Each lesson meets the highest standards of rigor and relevance. The curriculum is vertically aligned among all grade levels. Over half the state is currently using CSCOPE, and the number of districts adopting the curriculum continues to grow. CSCOPE is continually evaluated and updated. It is a Texas curriculum, written by Texas educators. In an effort to keep parents informed, a new link has been added to our webpage. It is a parent portal to CSOPE. I encourage parents to go to the link and learn more about CSCOPE. As always, if you have questions regarding curriculum, please give me a call.
