The Elementary Teacher of the Month for January is Mrs. Deanna Stanley.
Caring
Deanna is willing to help anyone, teachers or students at any time. She relates well to the students as well as the teachers. She is very good at adding humor when talking with her students and peers. She thinks of her students first preparing for class and teaching strategies ahead of time. She works closely with staff members to think of positive ways to improve our campus. Mrs. Stanley always has the students best interest at heart and is willing to help them any way she can.
Passion
Mrs. Stanley’s passion for teaching is demonstrated daily in the classroom. Students are well-behaved due to the structured environment she provides. She constantly works to improve her teaching strategies to reach all kids, especially the struggling learners. Deanna wants the very best for her students. Her expectations are high and she encourages them to do their best everyday. She understands their needs and takes time to meet with parents and have conversations with students to find out what works best.
Inspiring
Mrs. Stanley inspires her students to do the best they can do and to never give up. She challenges her students daily with engaging activities and lessons. Mrs. Stanley is always positive in her actions and words and she encourages others all the time. Her own life is an example of what good role-models should be. She doesn’t say one thing and do another. She is trustworthy and honest in all she does.
Self-less
Deanna goes out of her way to help her students and fellow teachers because she cares so much for them. When students need help they can come to her room before, after, or during school. Deanna is always preparing so she can get the most from her students. She gives a lot of her time to make her classroom a fun, exciting, and stimulating environment. She is always helping her fellow co-workers.
Dedication
Mrs. Stanley is dedicated to her profession. She is very professional in all that she does, dresses professional, acts professionally, works after hours, always on time, goes that extra mile, etc. She never misses school and is always there for her students. Mrs. Stanley has worked in CPISD for 25+ years. She always has and will support all CPISD school and community events.
