November Board of Trustee Election
How can I file for a place on the ballot?

Center Point ISD will hold its next election for Board of Trustees on November 2, 2010. The qualifications for candidacy are as follows:
- 18 years of age or older
- Resident of Texas for at least 1 year prior to filing deadline
- Resident of Center Point ISD for at least 6 months prior to filing deadline
- Registered voter (having received Voter Registration Card in mail) prior to Election Date
Candidate packets will be available for picked up beginning on July 21, 2010 from the CPISD Administration Office (original school building) which is located at 215 China Street in Center Point.
The first day to file for a place on the ballot is July 25, 2010, which falls on a Sunday, so the first date to turn in your application for a place on the ballot is Monday, July 26th. See the Notice of Deadline to File Applications for Place on the Ballot for additional details.
The hours to pick up packets and/or turn in applications for a place on the ballot are as follows:
Office Hours Beginning July 21st and July 22nd, 2010: Wednesday – Thursday from 8:00am – 4:30pm to pick up candidate packets.
Office Hours Beginning July 26th thru August 5th, 2010: Monday – Thursday from 8:00am – 4:30pm
Office Hours from August 9th thru August 23rd, 2010: Monday – Friday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Office Hours on August 24, 2010 Filing Deadline: 8:00am – 5:00pm
