5th Six Weeks
My little cowboys/cowgirls are adjusting well to having four different teachers. Their little personalities are starting to come out, which has been quite fun! With all that said, I do believe we have an AWESOME mix of students!
HELP! Please study vocabulary and spelling words with your child daily. A child needs to hear a word 10-15 times before they can apply their new learning. Take the time to teach these words to the point that they can teach a younger sibling, animal, or even a stuffed animal.
Students will be able to use context clues to figure out an unfamiliar word.
Students will be able to know what an antonyms, synonyms, and analogies, and describe them.
Students will be able to identify different point of views and their characteristics.
Students will be able to list different genres, and their characteristics.
Students will be able to make inferences based on their prior knowledge.
Students will be able to distinguish fact from opinions.
Students will be able to increase their vocabulary with new word wall words!
