My name is Sue Wood, and I coach MS volleyball and HS tennis. I am a 1978 graduate of Center Point HS, and a 1982 graduate of Southwest Texas State University. While attending CPHS, I was active in basketball, track, tennis, band, FHA,and FFA. I was a cheerleader for 5 years and a twirler for two. Following graduation from SWT, I taught 3rd grade at Groesbeck for one year, kindergarten at St. Peters in Kerrville for four years, and have been teaching at CPISD since 1987 (my 25th year here). I have three great children who all graduated from CPISD. Lindsay (2003) graduated from UT in Austin and is a fifth grade teacher in Comfort, Justin (2005)is in the US Coast Guard stationed in Rhode Island, and Sarah (2008)is working on a dental hygienist degree. CP is my home. My family has been a part of this community for over 150 years. I want to welcome all new and returning athletes to our athletic programs. I hope all of you had a great summer and are ready to make CP proud!
