Broad Horizons High School

Alamo Colleges Welcome Center Point and Broad Horizon Graduates

The new Alamo Community College in Kerrville welcomes all Center Point ISD graduates to be a part of their campus.  All CPISD graduates with a certified transcript will be able to attend classes at Alamo Community College in Kerrville.  There will be no admission fee to Center Point or Broad Horizon graduates. 

Mr. Thomas Curtis the Alamo College Coordinator welcomes CPISD Graduates.  This community college will enable Center Point and Broad Horizon students to continue with their education locally near their home at a lower cost than going to school at many four year universities.  The procedures to attend there is simple: 

STEP ONE:                ADMISSIONS

  1. Complete On-Line Admission Application (www.applytexas.org)  select Northwest Vista
    • No Application Fee
    • Email address required
  1. Submit official Center Point ISD Transcript or GED scores
    • Transcript must be sealed in an envelope.

STEP TWO:  FINANCIAL AID

  1. Apply for FAFSA PIN number(s) (student and parent)
  2. Complete FAFSA
  3. Receive Student Aid Report (SAR) 
  4. Accept Award

STEP THREE:           TESTING

  1. ACCUPLACER, SAT and ACT Test results are needed
    • ACCUPLACER Test has a $15.00 nonrefundable fee. 
    • Photo ID Required
    • The ACT and SAT is also accepted if within two years. 
    • ACCUPLACER Testing every Wednesday @ 9:00 a.m. at Kerrville Alamo College, contact Shawna at (830) 896 – 0049 to schedule.

STEP FOUR:               COUNSELING AND REGISTRATION

  1. Meet with Advisor
    • Shawna Fahrenthold:  (830) 896 - 0049    
  1. Register for classes at college
