Sean Berry is the Secondary Teacher of the Month for October 2017!
Students really like his class and hope he stays. Has great rapport with students and does a variety of activities in class to keep them engaged. Maintains a high level of rigor in his lessons.
The Elementary Teacher of the Month for October is Mrs. Teresa Caronna.
Mrs. Caronna has worked hard to start our first Student Council for Center Point Elementary School. The installation ceremony was touching and students are inspired to be great leaders on our campus.
Mrs. Caronna also inspires her students to be the best version of themselves and works hard to build relationships with each of them. Thank you for making sure student needs are met each day in your classroom. We appreciate you!
Shirley always does a great job and works very hard planning the annual Homecoming School Spectacular. She is very organized, pays attention to detail, and is great at getting the word out to staff and the Center Point community. Shirley also does a great job letting community members know of events happening here at the school. A week doesn’t go by that she isn’t sending multiple e-mails out to staff and also to community members to let people know what is happening so they can support the school.
Shirley is a home-town girl who loves this school and dedicates a great amount of time and her talents, making things at CPISD better for staff, students and the CP community. She works very hard to keep the CP Education Center and Museum a great place for community members to come and reminisce of days gone by.
Shirley is the director of the Center Point Community Education Program and the Center Point After-School Care Program.
She does all this in addition to her “regular” job duties of working in the library, helping students check out books, take AR tests, do research for class projects and assignments while also monitoring students in dual credit and internet classes.
Shirley is a great asset to the district and has dedicated more than 30 years of her career to Center Point ISD. Shirley is a life-long Pirate and is very deserving of being recognized as CPISD’s Support Staff Member of the Month.
