The 2010 C-Scope Conference has come and gone, but not without a tremendous amount of information being absorbed. I, for one, wasn't too sure about the C-Scope curriculum, but after attending this conference, I can say that I'm better equipped to handle this change in how I approach teaching math. I've always taught math well, but I can see how using this new curriculum will enhance my math lessons so that more students will be able to feel successful.
The Keynote speaker on Tuesday was Ron Clark. He is definitely someone who could motivate the most stubborn student. I just wish I had the energy that he exhibited. His attitude toward teaching was not only upbeat, but also rather refreshing! After listening to him, I was invigorated and ready to get back to school! Crazy thought, huh? Especially since school has only been out less than a month!!
