Happy New Year & Welcome Back!

I hope all of you had a restful and wonderful holiday season!

As we move into the new year, your child will be covering new and
exciting material in math. Our focus will be on multiplication and
division applications, models and facts. The lessons are very hands
on and require daily participation, making attendance very important
for success in grasping each concept as it is presented. This six
weeks has 32 days in it. The end of the six weeks will be February
the 17th.

Parents ask me how they can help to make sure their child is receiving the highest grades possible and I will always say,"being in class every day with a positive attitude and willingness to participate and do the work" is in my opinion the best way to ensure your child's success. Thank you for checking nightly homework, signing the behavior folder and returning these items each day they are sent home.
Students will continue to have daily math homework on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
January always means "STOCK SHOW!"
Our stock show holidays will be January the 19th and 20th. Please come out to the Kerr County Ag barn and support our kids who have worked very hard on their animal projects.

Our Valentine's party will be on Tuesday, February the 14th. More information will be coming home as the time approaches.
My conference period is from 11:25 - 12:15 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. On Wednesday and Thursday my conference period is from 7:50 - 8:40. Please feel free to call or write me a note if you would like to set up a conference at any time.
