As a child, I loved playing games. Whether it was kick ball, tennis, or running relay races during P.E. class I loved being physically active and being part of a team. Even today, if you asked me what my occupation is, I would tell you with a smile, "I'm the luckiest person in the world because I get to play games everyday at work."
I believe Physical Education teaches students the importance of exercise and its benefits towards living a healthy and long life. Games and sports teach kids the importance of working toward a common goal, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.
As an educator and part of the Center Point P.E. Team I am very thankful that we live in a state that still sees the benefits of daily Physical Education requirements. Some states have drastically reduced, or even dropped Physical Education programs.
As part of the Center Point P.E. Team I look forward to working and educating our students on the benefits of physical activity so they will continue to engage in physical activity in adulthood and obtain the benefits of physical activity throughout life.
