Camp Verde General Store – Lunch, The Camels & More (New)

Course Description:  The Camp Verde General Store and Post Office is located on 285 Camp Verde Road East, nestled in the Hill Country between Center Point, Bandera, and Kerrville on SH173. The Camp Verde General Store is a destination shopping, eating, and Historical getaway.  To learn more about this beautiful, and interesting historical marker, come join Mr. Gerald Witt for discussions that will cover the early Indian tribes, battles between the

Rangers and Indians, Camp Verde’s main role in the Civil War, the fort after the Civil War and the early settlers in the surrounding area.  Enjoy a delectable lunch while you learn about the history of the Camp Verde General Store.  If time permits, take a look around their gifts and gourmet specialties they have at the store.

Instructor:  Gerald Witt – Center Point Native that has been doing family and historical research for over 40 years

Materials Needed:  None

Location:  Meet at the Camp Verde General Store, Camp Verde, Texas on SH173
