Purpose and scope

This guest wireless network is provided as a free, convenient courtesy for visitors of Center Point ISD. The network is not intended for high-volume use and may not provide the same performance as our internal network. This policy applies to all visitors, including clients, vendors, contractors, and other guests. 

Acceptable Use

Your access to the guest network is governed by the following rules. Failure to comply may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access without notice. 

You agree not to use the network for:

• Illegal activities: You will not use this service to access, transmit, or store any content that is unlawful or violates any local, state, or federal laws.
• Copyright infringement: The unauthorized downloading or sharing of copyrighted material is strictly prohibited. You agree to respect all intellectual property rights.
• Malicious activity: You may not interfere with or disrupt the network or any other computing systems. This includes, but is not limited to, sending viruses, launching denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, or engaging in unauthorized access.
• Excessive bandwidth use: You will not consume an unreasonable amount of network resources. Activities like large file transfers or streaming high-definition video that could degrade network performance for others are discouraged.
• Inappropriate content: You may not access or distribute material that is obscene, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise offensive to our community.

Center Point ISD provides this network on an "as is" basis and makes no guarantees regarding network speed, security, or reliability. 

By using this network, you agree to the following:

• Security risks: You acknowledge that there are inherent security, privacy, and confidentiality risks when transmitting data over any public wireless network. You are responsible for securing your own device.
• Monitoring: While we respect your privacy, we reserve the right to monitor network traffic for security and policy compliance purposes. We may also cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation of suspected illegal activities.
• No liability: Center Point ISD is not liable for any damage, loss of data, or other negative effects that may occur to your device or software while using this service.
• Termination of access: We reserve the right to disconnect any user at any time and for any reason.
